 Post subject: Seaon Rapidly Approaching
Well with bluegrass this weekend and then soccerama a couple of weeks after that the season is right around the corner. So for this thread put up what you want, predictions, scores from bluegrass or just general questions. I would really love to see scores and comments of how our NKY kids did in Lexington.

NDA should be stacked. They lose some good seniors but they are arguably the deepest team in the state. It will be interesting to see the starting lineup. They return seniors Shelton, Clark, Stenger, and Rolfsen; juniors Abdelghany, Schwartz, Brown, Scheben, Clark, Leininger, Schutzman, Miller, McLeod, Reed, Whitehouse, and Justice; and sophomores Voskuhl, Eckerle, and Lonneman. I know there are some strong freshmen coming in, but I would be surprised if any made varsity due to the depth of the upperclassmen (honestly I'd be surprised if more than three sophomores made varsity).

It may take some time to juggle players to the best spot for the team at NDA. Stenger and Rolfsen are not back. as they opted not to play this year due to lack of field time last year. Three soph's made the team and no freshmen made varsity. FIve of the jr's were starters last year along the frosh keeper last yr and all of the key reserves are back. Add in the jr's that should have been on varsity last yr and it is a deep roster. Most of the jrs can play multilple positions, so early in the season you may see some different combos.

Okay that should take care of NDA, as always going to be strong. What about other teams. Haven't seen anyone play since spring and even then they were not all on the same HS team. Anyone go to bluegrass and see any good stuff down there. I can't wait for soccerama (both boys and girls) there are some pretty interesting match ups.

St. Henry will be tough with their experienced Senior class, several strong Juniors and at least one very strong Sophomore returning. AJ has been out since Spring with a broken leg but should be back in time for a run to the finish. Some of the strong Juniors should make an impact on the defense for SH. With last years top scorers back in the fold, watch out for this bunch!

Highlands, as usual, has some stud athletes with lots of speed. Several of the Track team sprinters will be seeing a lot of action for the Birds so teams will have to work to keep up with them. With the Senior class, Mac squared combo leading the way and a good Junior class, the Birds will have another fine season, no doubt.

Boone County will represent well this season. Juniors PG and KP will be two of the top players and have to lead the way now that they have lost AH for the season to injury.

I also heard that Marshall wouldn't be a part of the Boone Co. squad this year? She could have really helped Boone out. As far as Howell, it is always sad to see great players go down with serious injuries. I hope she makes a fast and full recovery.

What happened to Howell? Wasn't she the top scorer for Boone? I knew Marshall was out with ACL last season but isn't she coming back?

Howell is out with a knee injury for the season. Marshall did not return this season. I am not sure why?
